This company was conceived almost 2 decades ago when the founder had the opportunity to take care of adults with developmental disabilities. She could not believe how happy and fulfilled she felt at the end of each day’s job. She found herself missing her clients when not at work and was always looking forward to going back to work. She considered these clients as part of her family, and so when she retired, the only thing she could think of was how to continue providing care for this category of people – adults with developmental disabilities who will eventually transition to seniors in our care. We also take care of seniors in their own homes.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We are dedicated to quality care of our clients, serving all clients with dignity, respect, and compassion. We encourage and support clients’ independence. Assisting clients to retain the ability to provide self-care is emphasized if they desire it. We see our clients as whole individuals. Meeting the diverse cultural needs of our clients is also important. We shall assist our clients with their activities of daily living while encouraging the highest level of independence as much as possible.

Abbey’s Petra Fonte Home Care Organization is client-centered.
